Solar Collaborations

In collaboration with GRID Alternatives Solar Programs, the Bishop Paiute Tribe’s Environmental Management Office & the TERO Department, we have been installing solar energy equipment on Tribal homes from March thru June of this year. Four of our volunteers recently earned Roof Team Leader Certificates and Team Leader T-shirts (Orange) as part of their effort on the projects. The four are Francis Stone III, Robert Westervelt, Marcus Kinney, and Javier Martinez. The added skills that they learned include: Manage and Supervise Volunteers; Implement Safety Protocols; Practice Roof Etiquette and Protection; Locate Rafters; Install Stand-offs; Assemble Racking; Wire Junction Box; Run/Pull Home Runs & Ground Wire; and, Install Modules. We appreciate their dedication and hard work to install Solar Energy equipment on Tribal Member homes.
